Dear Poli, there are laws against defamation and false publication of news. And, yes, that’s what lawyers are for. However, if someone is really stupid and bigoted, then they are entitled to share their opinion and show the whole world how stupid and bigoted they are. Our best defence is to use our intelligence (better yet, our wisdom) to counter what they say, NOT to use force or violence to stop him or her from saying what he or she believes. Peace, Jonson

Hmm… but does that give a man the right to lie in public and spread falsehood? Surely there is a limit. One should defend differences in opinions and condemn falsehoods. But then again, one might argue the difference between a lie and an opinion is often times a matter of interpretation. That is why we have lawyers.

Religions have long been the most effective and potent means of mass mind control. Evil priesthoods invariably sprout around every popular cult, fattening themselves by manipulating the superstitious tendencies of simple-minded and gullible folk. Even as one belief system begins to wind down and lose its hold on the popular imagination, another one generally appears to take its place. Blessed are the ones with sufficient intellectual integrity and spiritual maturity to break free of these stupefying and divisive programs.

the articles may be well written, but objective is not quite the word to describe them all.

anyway, the magazine is full of things. things that malaysians, especially university students, should be reading.

the magazine is a good read. at rm 6, given the amount of what you gain from reading it, well, that surely is cheap.
